Work
Fifteen years building direct-to-consumer commerce, from a $300K startup to a $5M brand, then three years running Shopify Plus programs across a dozen accounts at an agency. Below is a mix of things I built myself and results I drove for clients.
Built from scratch
LockerDrop
A Shopify app that turns a bank of smart lockers into a 24/7 pickup option at checkout. Shoppers choose a locker, pay, and get a code. No staff, no pickup window.
Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, Shopify OAuth, checkout UI extensions. Read more
Volunteer Check-In System
A mobile web app that ran check-in for 400+ volunteers across 18 holes of a golf tournament, replacing Google Forms and a shared spreadsheet with live tracking and staffing visibility by hole.
InSite
A product concept for multi-store Shopify monitoring: log what changed across a portfolio of stores, then show it against performance and sales. Written as a full proposal with a costed business case.
Client results
Agency work, so the brands stay unnamed. The numbers are mine.
A DTC seafood brand: +$500K subscription revenue
Restructured the subscription program and rebuilt product recommendations using Rebuy and Recharge. Subscription revenue grew $500K. Average order value rose 7.6% and orders rose 13.7%.
A cycling hardware brand: five storefronts into one
Consolidated separate US, EU, UK, AU, and CA storefronts into Shopify Markets. Launch time for a new market dropped roughly 90% and costs fell by half. Also built a trade-in program with dynamic pricing on the product page, and fixed checkout across four geographies where missing phone fields, tax copy, and currency bugs were quietly costing orders.
A health and wellness brand: the complicated parts
Owned the full Shopify Plus storefront. Built discount logic most stores never need: first-time buyer discounts with spending caps, stacking rules, subscription-specific pricing through Shopify Scripts and checkout extensions. Migrated subscriptions from Recharge checkout to Shopify unified checkout. Improved mobile PageSpeed from 59 to 70.
I also traced a pattern of suspicious orders back to an arbitrage ring working the discount rules, and brought in detection tooling to stop it.
Earlier
Co-founder and head of e-commerce at a luxury skincare brand, grown from $300K to $5M. Built the Shopify Plus ecosystem tying together POS, CRM, booking, and fulfillment. Managed $1.5M in inventory, 600+ SKUs, and 50+ vendors. Opened three retail stores. Bought and merchandised Tatcha, Augustinus Bader, and Nécessaire early, before most buyers knew the names.
Before that, Universal Pictures. Sales across 30+ Northeast accounts on a $1B+ film slate, a 13-person accounts receivable team, and Excel automations that recovered $50K a year.
